Objectives

We are a small charity, based near Kings Cross in London where we work every year with over 300 local parents and carers - mostly women - to overcome multiple barriers to achievement such as depression, language difficulties, poverty and lack of qualifications and confidence.

Our regular assessments show the positive impact our work has for both the parents and for their families, as we are instrumental in helping them into employment or volunteering and to improved self-esteem and quality of life.

Activities

We offer mentoring, training courses and one-to-one support in a caring, welcoming environment through professionals and volunteers delivering a high quality service to the community.

We have won a Queen's Award for Volunteering and operate from a house between 3 social housing blocks leased to us at no cost by the local council.
