Objectives

✦ To provide breastfeeding support and information to families in our Drop-In sessions

✦ To provide breastfeeding support and information to families from all across the county,

via our closed Facebook group

✦ To recruit and train Peer Supporter volunteers from the local community and run regular

supervision and skills development

✦ To provide community based, accessible and free antenatal breastfeeding education

sessions

✦ To provide opportunities for student midwives, student nurses, health visitors and other

health professionals to improve their infant feeding knowledge

Activities

We have 4 weekly free drop in groups for community breastfeeding support, open to all. These are run by an experienced facilitator and trained peer supporters. We also have a closed Facebook group for online breastfeeding support and run free monthly antenatal workshops. We train student health professionals with placements at our drop ins.
