The Our Place Mentoring Scheme supports children, young people and parents/carers on a one to one or small group basis. The support which we offer is tailored to meet the needs of the individuals. We can offer support for a whole range of issues from anxiety, anger, family breakdown and loss to self esteem and identity. All of our mentors are trained in accordance with The Mentoring and Befriending Approved Provider Standards, are DBS checked (formerly CRB) and receive regular support and supervision. Our mentoring support usually operates on a weekly basis for 9-12 months for children and young people and 6-12 weeks for parents, depending on the situation. The length and nature of support is determined at the beginning of the mentoring relationship.
