Operation Florian is a humanitarian charity set up to help rebuild fire and emergency services in countries where the infrastructure is underdeveloped or has suffered due to economic decline. The charity works to provide emergency vehicles, equipment and training to the affected service to support strategic development and improvements. This results in safer communities and ulimately reduces loss of life and injury.
The charity sources vehicles and equipment throughout the fire industry. Much of this is donated and our volunteers raise funds to purchase the remainder. The Equipment is donated to the beneficiary and preferably this is accompanied by a team of volunteers who carry out a wide range of training activities to support the effective use of the donated equipment. We also work with officials in the region to support strategic development. Our projects can last for several years with intervention in several phases until the service can develop independantly
