It has been established that 65% of all prisoners in the UK have numeracy skills at or below a 11 year old. One to One Maths is a programme introduced into prisons to encourage and develop numeracy skills though individual mentoring by using one of the prisons most underused resource - other educated prisoners.
We introduce the programme into the prison. We supply all the books as well as promotional items such as t-shirts, mugs, notepads, pencils, lanyards and wristbands to encourage prisoners to jon the programme. We train up the mentors and present Certificates to those prisoners who celebrate their success.
