OFH UK is involved in the extension of the existing network of rural health posts in Rwanda which provide essential medicines to members of local communities who struggle to access these medicines as there are few Government-run health posts in rural Rwanda and the only means on access is on foot. Currently the health post network deals with approximately 2 million patients per annum.
OFH UK wishes to provide funding from the UK to support the network of health posts and to support the operation of the local OFH team in Rwanda which has responsibility for ensuring that medicines are delivered to the health posts that training is delivered to the nurses who run the health posts and for managing the relationship with the Ministry of Health in Rwanda which sponsors the network in Rwanda.
