Objectives

The O K Foundation - helping the disadvantaged, educating the community, making music happen

Set up to affect and improve the lives of disadvantaged people within North East London, in particular Tottenham. There are 3 main objectives:

  • Running programmes and activities aimed at reducing the level of homelessness
  • Using supplementary education(Saturday School) to raise the standard of achievement amongst disadvantaged young people
  • Using music, seminars and workshops for educational purposes, raising awareness and ensuring the wellbeing of the community generally

 

Activities

 

  • Weekly soup kitchen, preparation and distribution of food among the homeless. 
  • Cook and eat sessions (cooking healthy foods)
  • Educational classes
  • Mentoring and counselling sessions
  • Community choir
