We are a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people with disabilities. We believe no young person should miss out on accessing activities and experiences due to their disability. We currently support over 70 children and young people, aged 9-25, who have moderate to severe learning disabilities with associated behaviours that challenge and/or complex health needs.
Our project enables the children and young people we support to have fun in a safe environment, whilst developing important life skills, such as communication, self-care and socialisation. It gives parents and carers a much-needed break from their caring role, giving them the opportunity to run errands, spend time with siblings and/or relax, which they otherwise may be unable to do.
We have delivered a successful short break programme for children and young people with learning disabilities for the last five years. We run clubs and playschemes afterschool, at weekends and during the school holidays.
