Nothe Fort's mission is to conserve the Nothe Fort and collection, while increasing public accessibility and engagement with our story. And to realise our potential as a cultural hub. We have won the Gold Award for best small visitor attraction in 2020 and 2021.
Nothe Fort guards the entrance to Weymouth harbour and has been lovingly restored over the years to provide a visitor attraction and cultural hub.
Today Nothe Fort is staffed by an army of over 120 local volunteers, who are passionate about making a difference to Nothe Fort as well as an economic and social impact to Weymouth. In 2022 we welcomed just over 73,000 visitors. We are very proud to have won local, regional and national awards for best visitor attraction.
Over the 5 years Nothe Fort shall be developing and implementing a programme of development, which shall be focusing on upgrading the building, display and visitor experience.
