Objectives

The Northern Alternative Education Partnership (NAEP) is a not-for-profit unincorporated association offering free membership to teachers and school leaders in the North of England working in the alternative provision (AP) sector who share a commitment to improving outcomes and life chances for children and young people who have been excluded and who therefore educated outside of mainstream schools.

Activities

We will meet our objectives by:

  • Offering free membership, with a view to sharing expertise and improving educational standards and pupil outcomes, to schools supporting excluded children and young people in the North of England.

  • Facilitating, free of charge, a confidential and non-judgemental platform for members to collaborate and solve strategic problems together - harnessing the power of inter-school collaboration.

  • Building sustainable partnerships and networks to influence positive change for excluded pupils.

  • Celebrating and promoting successes within the alternative provision sector in the North of England.
