North Tyne Youth supports young people's personal and social development through the provision of recreational opportunities. We work with all young people aged 8-18 years within rural north-west Northumberland. In particular, we try to reach young people who are rurally isolated. Through our work we aim to build young people's confidence, connections and capacity to live healthy and fulfilling lives, now and in their futures.

North Tyne Youth works with young people in a variety of ways. We currently run weekly youth clubs in Otterburn, Bellingham, Kirkwhelpington and Humshaugh and regular school-based sessions in four local schools. We have a drop-in youth cafe and offer one-to-one, outreach and pop-up sessions as appropriate. We also organise trips and residential visits, in and beyond the local area. The young people are involved in planning and organising a wide range of activities, such as arts and crafts; drama, dance and music; physical and adventurous activities; and environmental, heritage and cultural activities. We have strong partnerships with a variety of local agencies.
