Objectives

The North London Festival was founded in 1920 by an illustrious group of musicians, composers, educators and academics including Edward Elgar, Clara Butt, Hamilton Harty. 

The Festival exists to advance, promote and encourage the study and practice of the arts, in particular performance.

Through performing in competitions and masterclasses and receiving detailed feedback from industry professionals, entrants of all ability levels develop confidence, poise and communication skills.

Activities

The Festival runs competitions and masterclasses in music, speech and drama for all ages and ability levels (including Conservatoire) over several weeks each Spring.
