We help young deaf people and families with deaf relatives come together and share experiences, gain confidence and independence and become more comfortable with their deafness and not feel so isolated.
We want to provide sociable events for young deaf people to enjoy one another’s company.
This is a big thing as deaf people are scattered across Norfolk and due to a lack of support from local deaf organisations who focuses mainly on the older generation, they are lonely and isolated. NDY wants to give them role models, fun and helpf their mental health improve by giving them confidence and independence.
We aim to plan face to face events but currently under government guidelines we have not been able to achieve this for over a year now.
