The No.1 Care Agency is a Scottish-based social enterprise that offers 24-hour care to adults and aims to promote independence. We provide respite breaks and live-in care at home for adults of all ages with illnesses and conditions that include: dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke, physical disabilities and learning difficulties.
The No.1 Befriending Agency matches volunteers with clients to offer befriending either on the telephone or face-to-face in the befriendee's home.
In addition to befriending matches we also organise group events called 'Cup of Friendship' across various locations and hold an annual Plate of Friendship. These events are geared towards people that are lonely/isolated, who otherwise couldn't experience going out and enables them to meet others, and engage in a range of activities throughout the year.
