About Nightingale Hammerson

Nightingale Hammerson is an independent charity which has been serving the community for over 170 years.

Nightingale Hammerson welcomes Jewish men and women over the age of 60 from every part of the community. Our three homes can also accommodate couples who may have differing care needs. Nightingale House offers residential, nursing and dementia care, whilst Hammerson House currently offers residential, nursing and assisted living accommodation.

Nightingale Hammerson strives to provide excellent person centred care for all residents and are always looking for new staff and volunteers to join our team.

Activities

Activities of daily living

Residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible with a whole range of activities taking place daily for residents to participate in. These range from baking and pottery to going on outings, singing in a choir and so on.

The activities programme is constantly being adapted to ensure it is appropriate to the needs and choices of our residents. As well as organised activities, staff and volunteers are encouraged to engage with residents on an individual basis as much as possible whether supporting at meal times, assisting with I.T. or taking residents out into the garden.
