NBGC runs numerous sessions for children of all ages, on a Monday we have a junior youth club this is for children aged 8-11, Wednesday and Thursdays are for young people aged 12-18 This is from 5pm-8pm and then Fridays is again ages 12-18 and is from 5-9pm. Our club provides a warm, safe and friendly relaxed meeting place for children and young people who may not otherwise have anywhere to go.
We run different activities on club night and always welcome and encourage new ideas. If we didn’t' have volunteers we simply would not be able to continue our work, this has benefit to the community as less youth groups are hanging about on the street also it benefits the members themselves as some of them would not have the opportunity to do some activities that we run outside of the club.
NBGC works hard to ensure that all our volunteers are listened to and trained as required. As we work with young people we carry out all necessary checks on anyone who volunteers in our organisation, this is to ensure the safety or our members. We have recently had a massive refurbishment and this has seen the number of members increase. We aim to listen and provide what our members would like to do or learn, they have recently made their own suggestion boxes to aid this.
