Newman was founded in 1968 and is now a University with a strong tradition in education and programmes in Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Providing high quality learning, teaching and research, Newman actively promotes access and participation. We strive for a Catholic ethos of dialogue, respect for the individual, inclusiveness, social justice, worship and reflection and service. We help our graduates make a positive contribution to the world. Today we have over 2800 students on postgraduate, undergraduate and foundation degree courses.
