Geographical remit:

New Roots offers supported accommodation to young people between the ages of 16 - 21years.Working predominantly with looked after children, care leavers, young parents and young people with a history of offending behaviour. We are commissioned by Notts County Council to deliver statutory services on their behalf.

We work in a trauma informed approach which enables young people with complex needs to engage and benefit from the support we offer. In addition to a comprehensive support package  we rely heavily upon activities and volunteering roles which increase confidence and deliver both new experiences and enhance  employability skills.

Through this model of delivering services we improve the life chances of young people and their children as well as equip them with the necessary skills they require to live independently.

New Roots achieve an exceptionally high level of successful outcomes and enjoy an excellent reputation within the county.

Provision of 41 units of high quality accommodation ranging from core provision with 24 hour staffing on site to cluster accommodation dispersed across the area of Bassetlaw in which service users receive both higher and lower levels of support.

Support is centred on a mutually agreed plan which identifies needs, aims and aspirations.

Delivery of accredited AQA units which demonstrate learning around areas such as healthy eating, living on a budget and dealing with debt and are often the only formal qualification achieved by the service user.
