Objectives

Our vision: Using netball to educate, create opportunities and improve the health of the communities we serve.

Netball Development Trust (NDT) is a UK charity that delivers netball at grass roots in less developed countries, allowing children the freedom to play and have fun. We work with schools and projects in the community to help young people to become players, leaders, coaches and officials of the future. We then use netball as a tool to bring communities together, where we and our partners can deliver 'sexual and reproductive health' awareness.

We have a group of girls now in full time secondary education due to their netball skills as we have secured scholarships for them. We are proud to provide sanitary pads to 250+ girls, keeping them in education too. We empower children in their sexual health rights and encourage them to support each other.

Activities

There are four pillars to our work and together they underpin how we will achieve our vision.

Pillar 1: Netball

Teaching and playing the game of netball to coaches and young people.

Pillar 2: Health Education

Delivering mental, physical, and sexual health education to empower young people to make better decisions.

Pillar 3: Opportunities

Offering life skills and positive pathways for everyone linked to NDT.

Pillar 4: Equality

Promoting gender equality across all aspects of our work.

Current opportunities

NDT makes a difference through netball every day across Uganda, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Ghana. We need more funds to expand projects to help more kids...
