About Us
Ness M Care Foundation is a charity dedicated to support activities that will improve the quality of life of people who are cared for in their homes and their carers. We are an independent, international charity working throughout Peterborough, and at an international level which includes South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Our projects:
Ubuntu Coffee Mornings - Monthly coffee mornings offering people cared for in their homes and their carers with entertaining activities.
Covid-19 Community Support - Offering essential support to community members that are shielding from Covid-19 due to complex health conditions.
Rise - A project that supports those who are unable to receive NHS funded physiotherapy treatment with small funding grants.
Buddy Up - A project whereby adults at risk receive face to face companionship, access to professional therapists and well-being calls.
Social Care in Zimbabwe- Offering basic care equipment and training to family carers. This is essential care equipment required for people cared at homes and the required training to use the equipment correct.
Our Impact:
Often times people who are socially isolated due to health conditions do not have social contact outside if their medical teams. Furthermore, the carers who spend time caring for vulnerable people with complex medical conditions do not have any social contact. Our organisations tries to ensure that people being cared for at home and their carers are socially included by arranging various projects to engage them.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe has low levels of social isolation and the community all rally to help anyone in need. However, unlike the Health & Social Care system in the UK, Zimbabwe does not have in place a formal health & social care infrastructure to help those in need. This makes getting equipment or basic care training for carers very difficult and close to impossible. Therefore, our help is invaluableĀ as we provide urgently needed equipment and basic care training to ensure people receiving care are as comfortable as possible and to ensure carers are aware of how to adequately care for the beneficiary.
