Objectives

MusicSpace provides a community-based music therapy service for people of all ages in Bristol and the surrounding area. Our team of state-registered music therapists is currently working with over 300 people each week. Children, young people and adults with disabilities come to our Bristol centre for their sessions, in well-equipped therapy rooms. We also run an outreach service for those people who are unable to travel to us, working in a range of other settings including early years’ centres, schools, residential homes, the children’s hospital and other community venues.

Activities

Our experienced therapy team meet with potentail clients and their carers and families to carefully assess their needs. Our therapists enable clients to explore using a wide range of instruments and musical styles using their skills to connect with clients and guide them emotionally. Clients that often find verbal communication difficult respond well to music therapy.
