Objectives

Objectives

To provide a high quality, needs-led Music Therapy service for children and adults primarily within but not limited to the London borough of Lambeth.

To promote the growth and development of a comprehensive Music Therapy service primarily within but not limited to the London borough of Lambeth.

To focus on delivering safe practice within the guidelines and regulations of the BAMT (British Association Music Therapists) and HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).

To liaise with other stakeholders to ensure communication and teamwork are key to sound service development and delivery.

Activities

Music Therapy Lambeth (MTL) therapists provide a range of sessions mainly within educational settings across the borough of Lambeth.

Music Therapy sessions can help children and adults with a wide range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Selective Mutism and learning disabilities. We also work with children and adults struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression or those struggling to overcome trauma or a bereavement.

MTL has close links to specific funding bodies and provides Music Therapy sessions free at the point of delivery to the children, families and adults that access these services.
