MTFA’s vision is of a society where everyone, no matter their age, background or address, can regularly see, enjoy, and participate in transformative quality live storytelling.
MTFA’s mission is to find ways and means to tell such stories to and for its audiences, including those most marginalised in our society. Working across the UK, we work in forms and spaces which belong not to the artists but to the audience. In this way we create truly accessible, transformative art.
Founded in 2014, MTFA is an ambitious charity working with imagination and energy to create the best quality, accessible transformative live performances with and for people of all backgrounds in inclusive spaces. We believe in the power of stories, community, compassion, empathy and tolerance to change lives. We are excited to grow and continue learning how best to use culture and storytelling to keep empowering and improving people’s lives over the next decade.
Our current key projects include Urban Operas, Lewisham Creative Chorus, Schubert 200 and The Hive.
