MOVE is a community organisation operating in Hammersmith & Fulham, West London, which delivers bespoke workshops and projects combining personal development, education and sports as a tool to unite and build stronger communities.
We mainly (but not exclusively) work with vulnerable children, young people and young women 25 years and under.
Our mission is to create projects that improve the quality of people's lives, their prospects and potential in the places they live, with the aim of empowering and engaging the individual in positive mental & physical experiences.
We create safe spaces to explore identity, fun, creativity and learning. We provide positive role models and a family friendly warm atmosphere.
We hold projects and workshops for kids which create safe spaces for fun, provide role models and creative learning.
So far we have run Young Mothers Personal Development Projects, Summer Futsal for Kids, Coding for Kids, Young Builders LEGO clubs and we are currently launching Double Dutch Skipping project called JUMP LDN.
Our Young Builders Club is a successful example of utilising LEGO to allow children time to use their imagination and build skills such as teamwork, communication and problem solving.
We are also in the process of creating seminars and workshops for the community targeting vulnerable adults, parents and community practitioners around various social topics.
