Objectives

The Mosses Centre is a large Community Centre situated in the middle of Bury, near the famous Bury Market. It provides a meeting place for over thirty clubs and groups (Activities & Groups) including a Youth Club, Martial Arts Classes and Line Dancing. We have an Ofsted Outstanding Pre-School. The Mosses Centre is managed by the Mosses Community Association Ltd (a Registered Charity).

Activities

Established in 1999 MCA is a Registered Charity No. 1108162, and a Company Limited by Guarantee No. 5158368. MCA meets the needs of the local community and the residents of the whole of Bury Metropolitan Borough by providing opportunities to fulfil their social, recreational and learning aspirations.
This is achieved by: -
•             Providing a centre (The Mosses Centre) for people of all ages to meet.
•             Delivering a range of services in partnership with others, meeting diverse needs.
•             Supporting individuals and independent groups.
MCA prides itself on having a welcoming environment which is inclusive, responsive & innovative
More than 1300 individuals attend the Centre each week from no less than 39 diverse informal voluntary and community groups that operate there. There are 20 paid staff, 8 trustees, and currently about 20 volunteers (including Trustees)
