We work with people from various walks of life, including young people in both school and non-school settings and adults in organisational settings. We support them in developing skills, and building their confidence, resilience and self-awareness through learning and development programs, and theatre-based clubs and activities.
Our participants have told us the following: “I have built my confidence and stopped feeling embarrassed about being in a room of people,” “I have seen my son’s self-belief increase dramatically,” and “I have learnt to cope with stress and anxiety.”
Our work matters because confidence, self-belief and feeling valued are some of the best ways to inoculate ourselves against the rising tides of depression, anxiety and other mental health issues. We work to create a society where no-one is held back by fear, where everyone is motivated and engaged to bring their unique talents to help make the world a little bit better.
Our activities include arts-based school programs, learning and development workshops and courses, coaching and consultancy, and youth theatre programs. For example, we run ‘Young Leaders’ in the Tyne Valley, a group dedicated to building the leadership skills of its members, providing them with opportunities to take the lead in youth participation within the arts. For adults, we run various short courses including ‘Developing Trust through Personal Authenticity’ and ‘Motivation and Signature Strengths’.
