Objectives

Our mission is to re-school and rehabilitate former racehorses and other breeds that have been gifted to us or that come to us for short term help so that they can have a real chance at a second career and a better life. We also use the horses to help others with Equine assisted learning .

Activities

Rehabilitation

We specialise in Equine Rehabilitation after surgery and lamenesses etc and take horses in to help with this, as we have all the necessary facilities and the experience to deal with all eventualities.

We have an indoor school – very safe and not too big and small pens etc and every facility needed to bring horses off box-rest or back to work after a surgical procedure or a long bout of lameness.

Retraining

All the horses go through a simple, basic, sympathetic retraining programme which they thrive on. No restrictive gadgets, or aggressive methods are used here - just basic honest horsemanship.

Rehoming

For people interested in rehoming one of our lovely ex-racehorses lots of time is given for them to try suitable horses in a relaxed environment and they can come and try a particular horse as often as they like to be sure it's right for them.  A lot of time and expertise is spent making sure that they are reliable and able to go on to long term happy and sound working lives.
