Monmouthshire Decorative and Fine Arts Society (MDFAS), base in Abergavenny, are in need of a volunteer treasurer. The applicant will work a few hours per month and duties will include banking of annual membership fees (c 230 members), payments to visiting lecturers, payment of expenses and other similar associated tasks. The volunteer would be invited to join the committee who meet once a month prior to the monthly lecture provided for our members. The society is affiliated to the national charity NADFAS and our accounts are audited annually.
MDFAS have a monthly lecture given by a professional lecturer and, in addition, provide days of special interest, outings, support for young arts in schools, heritage volunteers and church recording.
