An education centre for sustainable living, Monkton Wyld Court is managed by a resident community and Board of Trustees. The aim of the centre is to demonstrate a model of living that has a minimal impact on the land and wider environment while promoting respectful and responsible relationship to the natural world. We strive to be an accessible venue for experience and learning, that inspires individuals and groups to strive towards more harmonious and conscious ways of life.
The ethos of Monkton Wyld Court is shared in a direct and structured way via residential and day courses, family learning holidays, workshops and school visits, and more informally to guests using Monkton’s camping, hostel or bed and breakfast facilities. The centre’s volunteer programme offers educational experiences to individuals through immersion in community activities, and also provides an inlet for skilled workers who can support relevant projects. Monkton Wyld Court is also available as a venue for groups or individuals wanting to host their own events/workshops/courses or celebrations. The centre is constantly working to operate in more self reliant and sustainable ways.
