Charitable purposes
The purpose of the charity it to promote our activities and deliver operations to children from backgrounds of abuse, abandonment, neglect, extreme poverty or who have been orphaned and cannot take care of themselves (cared for by Misión México refuge in Tapachula, Mexico).
That is, to advance their education; prevent or relieve them of poverty; advance their health; save their lives; advance their citizenship and community development opportunities, their human rights and relief of further situations caused by ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
Summary of the main activities in relation to these objects
Fundraising including education appeals seeking sponsors/donations to assist with associated costs for educating the children from kindergarten to university; events across the UK including film screenings of our award winning documentaries, attending third party events promoting our merchandise, sponsorship activities promoting awareness to new audiences and raising money.
Awareness raising using social media (website, Facebook, Twitter) to highlight issues facing children in Mexico and demonstrating how Mision Mexico makes a difference in enabling children to have opportunities including education, healthy lifestyle (food, exercise, well maintained hygiene).
The UK charity supports this agenda through remittances of funds to the refuge and employee, administrative and technical support.
