Objectives

Milton Keynes Museum is popular with local residents and visitors to the area and is rich in stories and artefacts from down the ages. It is run by an enthusiastic cohort of staff and volunteers who provide an engaging hands-on experience for young and old alike. It occupies an extensive site and has two purpose built new galleries. There is a lively education programme and opportunities for groups visits. It is overseen by a dedicated Board of Trustees. More trustees are needed to support a growing museum.

Activities

To engage with local people of all ages and help them to better understand the local heritage there are, in addition to the static exhibitions and hands on experiences, activity weekends and special activities. Groups from different part of the community are engaged in various projects. The expansion into the two new galleries requires more trustee input to guide the future direction of the museum.
