Objectives

MHScot Workplace Wellbeing is a Social Enterprise offering employers and employees mental health training and education through an interactive learning platform and a growing community.

We started in 2014 and now have a small team working with organisations across the UK and beyond.

We support organisations to develop and embed a more caring and compassionate workplace culture, and we equip employees with the skills and knowledge they need to support mental health and wellbeing at work through education, training, and awareness courses.

MHScot believes that early intervention and support can have a significant impact on a person’s overall well-being and ability to recover and remain well. Our training equips people with the knowledge and skills to provide appropriate information and support to others while also improving their own ability to deal with the challenges of the modern workplace and beyond.

Great organisations invest in people and workplace wellbeing, and for every £1 spent by employers on mental health interventions they get £5 back in reduced absence, presenteeism and staff turnover. (Deloitte, 2022).

The impact and the difference we make from the work we do is really important in understanding attitude, behaviour change, knowledge and confidence in mental health and wellbeing.

Activities

All of our activities are based around running workshops, courses, educational awareness sessions with a view to increasing people's literacy and knowledge around mental health and wellbeing. With our focus very much on prevention and early intervention, we are educators and signpost appropriately when people do need more intensive therapeutic support to the relevant services like counselling, EAP's, GP's, the NHS and Third Sector Support Organisations. We believe everyone can utilise good listening and communication skills in order to open up conversations and get people the help that they need when they need it.
