Objectives

We're proud to be the UK's largest charity care provider and are dedicated to enabling older people to live later life well.

Through specialist care homes, thriving retirement living and vibrant community groups and befriending, we inspire the best care and wellbeing at every stage of later life.

With over 75 years’ experience we put people at the heart of everything we do in all our homes, schemes and community services across Britain supporting over 18,500 older people every day.

Activities

We believe in putting the member or resident at the center of all we do, finding out what is important to them, and then using your skills and talents to help make people live later life well! Volunteering opportunities might include helping with activities in a care home or community setting; offering 1:1 befriending or telephone befriending support, including to members and residents who are LGBTQ+; being part of a lunch club, minibus trip, event or even helping at the Hydrotherapy pool; running a tea trolley or helping residents keep in touch with family and friends.
