Metis Skills and Careers is here to help young and upcoming professionals bridge that knowledge gap between graduation and employment when it comes to IT and bridge that skills gap. But in addition and especially with COVID-19 hampering opportunities, we hire voluntary short team roles (12 weeks) to various people in various positions (marketing, developing, testing etc) to try and help this current generation gain some business experience and recommendation before they move onto their paid career. It's that experience they need and we're here to help them gain that expereince.
Metis provides courses for graduates and people from non-IT backgrounds in order to help them break into the IT job market.
In addition as we're only a start up, we provide roles for people to help keep our business running, and as I mentioned earlier we do this through voluntary at the moment so we can give as many people industry experience where we can.
When the business grows then we will looking into hiring full time staff and still have voluntary roles for people to gain experience, but for now it's just voluntary.
Currently we have provided voluntary roles for marketing and testing and we're now looking to introduce a voluntary role in web developing.
