MCN works with schools and children in deprived communities producing issue based documentary films. The production process is collaborative and aims to allow the children the maximum of input to content and participation in production activities. The films highlight issues of importance to the beneficiary group and give a voice to an otherwise often disempowered people. The process in itself encourages participants to appreciate the value of their input and their right to be heard.
MCN works with schools (usually at the primary level) on production of issue based documentary style films and distributes and exhibits its productions through a variety of channels. Our project currently in production involves a primary school in one of the most deprived wards of the London borough of Southwark and focuses on bullying.
