Objectives

We are a National School for the Deaf, based in Berkshire but taking children from all over the UK and some from overseas.  We are looking for new Board members.  As a Charitable Trust, we run Mary Hare School for the Deaf and also a number of associated businesses including our Audiology and Hearing service.  We are looking for Governors who have expertise in the areas listed but who most importantly would like to join our current team and assist in the development of both the school and businesses whilst committing to Governance and all the unique role entails.  We are entering an exciting phase of development; we currently have planning permission to build a new primary school on our Snelsmore campus.   If you feel you would like to explore the opportunity further please contact our Clerk.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Activities

We are a National School for Deaf Children, providing a wide and varied curriculum for children who are deaf or who have hearing difficulties.  We operate both Primary and Secondary phase and have pupils staying with us into our Sixth Form.   Mary Hare is widely appreciated for the opportunities it offers its pupils.  We also run a number of associated businesses including Mary Hare Hearing Centreand  Arlington Arts.
