Marlow Refugee Action seeks to translate the global refugee crisis into meaningful local action. We engage our community in fundraising activities and raise awareness of the realities facing displaced people both here in the UK and around the world. We help by giving grants from our fundraised income to grassroots charities doing direct work with displaced people both in the UK and around the world. This enables the people of Marlow to give confidently through a trusted, local volunteer led charity who ensure their funds deliver real impact.
We fundraise in our community through events, regular giving and annual fundraising activities. We visit schools, faith and community groups to help inform people about the challenges facing refugees and asylum seekers and we try to match people who are interested to valuable activities which help displaced people. We issue grants through a robust application process, selecting charities delivering real impact and making a difference.
