Marie Curie Information & Support Team are made up of 4 areas of support.
Support Line
Our trained team, including nurses, offer practical information and emotional support to people with a terminal illness, their families, and loved ones.
Peer support
Trained volunteers are available to provide six sessions of telephone bereavement support, or befriending calls (through our Check in and Chat service) to people needing listening ear support whether they are caring for a loved one who is terminally ill or have been bereaved by a terminal illness. Our support provides the space for people to explore how they are feeling, in a safe and confidential space.
Online and printed Information
Our website has over 150 information pages on all aspects of terminal illness, from planning ahead to coping with grief.
Information for professionals
The Palliative Care Knowledge Zone was created to help professionals working across all health settings with a range of free online resources to improve the end of life care they provide
