Objectives

Manchester Youth Zone provide a safe place for young people, aged 8 to 19 (up to 25 with additional needs) to fulfil their aspirations and enjoy healthy and happy lives.

Our organisation plays a key role in the lives of young people and their families, who face some of the most serious challenges that society can throw at them.

Based in the one of the most deprived areas in the country, we are proud that we help and support an ever-growing cohort of people who can often be forgotten and overlooked in terms of the benefits that they can provide to the wider society. We do this through providing somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. It is for this reason that in 2019 we were awarded The North West Charity of the Year.

Activities

We provide a warm, safe, and lively environment where our young people can take part in activities, make new friends, learn new skills and experiences. We achieve this by providing over 20 different activities each evening whilst ensuring that any member can talk with a Youth Worker on session or other young people who are positive role models.
