The object of Manchester Relief in Need is to relieve either generally or individually persons resident in the City of Manchester who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.

The object of Manchester Children's Relief in Need is to relieve either generally or individually persons under the age of 25 years resident in the City of Manchester who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress by making grants of money or providing or paying for items, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons. Preference shall be given to such persons qualified as aforesaid as shall be attending primary or secondary schools.

The object of the Manchester District Nursing Institution Fund is to provide relief of people on low income who are sick, convalescent, or disabled by providing or paying for items or services which are calculated to alleviate suffering or assist in recovery.
