Objectives

Mission

To work with LGBT+ people helping them to live free from discrimination and to feel safe in their own environment. To educate people on how to recognise, understand and prevent discrimination against LGBT+ people. 

Goals

  1. Campaign for the advancement of LGBT equality at home and abroad
  2. Stage an annual world class pride celebration of LGBT+ life in Greater Manchester
  3. Increase the levels of social engagement and wellbeing by celebrating cultural activities for, by and with LGBT+ people in Greater Manchester
  4. Make grants available for LGBT+ community groups, event and causes in Greater Manchester

Activities

Manchester Pride campaigns for the advancement of LGBT+ equality; celebrates LGBT+ life and creates opportunities that engage LGBT+ people so that they can thrive.

As one of the leading LGBT+ charities in the UK, its work aims to challenge discrimination in relation to homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and through our grant-giving, it supports, enriches and empowers LGBT+ community groups, events and causes in Greater Manchester. 

We deliver an annual programme of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT+) events in the region. This includes; the Manchester Pride Spring Benefit, our year-round calendar of cultural events, Superbia and the flagship Manchester Pride Festival.
