Objectives

We help older, disabled and vulnerable people to stay safe, warm and independent in their own homes for as long as possible. We help people to maintain their homes, maximise their income and access the support they need in later life or after a period of illness. Our work supports the NHS, social care and housing, helping to ensure vulnerable people have safe, warm and comfortable homes. This helps to keep people out of hospital and to return home safely after a hospital stay.

We take our ethical responsibilities very seriously and are working to BCorp principles (triple bottom line of people, 'profit (financial sustainability)' and planet.

Activities

We bring practical skills and a social care mindset to supporting older people to live well in their own homes.

Our services include:

Home Repairs Support - major house repairs, assessment and support to find and apply for grants and loans, we partner with Manchester council to provided loans and are FCA regulated.

Handyperson services - home safety advice, fitting of small home adaptations and general repairs for older people.

Casework service helping older people to manage their finances, maximise their income and obtain additional support such as disability adaptations, utilities discounts etc

Home from Hospital services providing 'settling in' and housing related support to older people leaving Manchester's Acute hospitals and Pennine Care Mental Health Trust patients.
