Objectives

Magna Learning Partnership was formed in April 2017 and is a group of primary and secondary schools and one sixth form college in Salisbury and the surrounding area.  The core aim of the Partnership is to improve and further develop the quality of education provision for the benefit of all young people in the area, by creating a sustainable education partnership that, through the achievements of its young people enhances the reputation of education across Salisbury.

Currently the Trust comprises: Amesbury Archer, Bemerton St John, Pembroke Park and The New Forest Primary Schools, Sarum Academy, The Trafalgar School, Wyvern St Edmund’s Learning Campus and Salisbury 6th Form College.

Activities

The Trust has ambitions to grow strategically over time and to incorporate additional schools to its community.  The main objectives for the Trust over the next 3 years include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensuring Good or Outstanding progress and outcomes for all pupil groups in the Trust
  • Achieving Good or better Ofsted judgements for all schools in the Trust
  • Achieving Good or better SIAMS judgements for church schools in the Trust
  • Ensuring all schools are full, with Pupil Admission Numbers (PAN) at 95% or greater
  • Ensuring attendance in all schools is above the national average
  • Growing the Trust from 9 schools to 10-15 schools
