LJM is a Liverpool based christian organisation that over the last 30 years has established a number of independent but associated charities with which it partners to impact the lives of people across the City region. Working with these charities, Liverpool Lighthouse, Bright Park and Harmonize Academy, we work with young people providing valuable education for those in danger of exclusion, use arts and cultural activities to improve the wellbeing and employability skills for various groups in our communities, provide a well maintained Park where members of the community can enjoy nature and contribute to their health and wellbeing. In addition to all these, LJM has church congregations it supports in the UK and other countries, providing them with expertise to carry out similar impact in their local communities whether in Africa, Asia or Europe. With heightened awareness of the need to look after the whole person, body soul and spirit, there is so much opportunity at LJM to impact people for good. Our volunteers play significant role in our capacity to truly make a difference.
We support the charities we have set up in carrying out their missional work (i) Free school academy for young people excluded from normal provision; (ii) Arts & community centre running various programmes to turn around vulnerable people, providing them with skills and opportunities to achieve (iii) Run a wooded community parkland in Knotty Ash, open to the community a few days each week - several activities are organised periodically, included music events (iv) run church congregations in the UK and support others in other parts of the world, organising mission trips for our team to experience cultures in other places
We need volunteers in all these areas to contribute to helping us deliver our objectives.
