Objectives

Lotus is a small, locally-operated charity situated in East Sussex, specialising in providing preventative and recovery domestic abuse support to women, children and families.

We adopt a holistic Whole Family Approach to enhance the safety, resilience, and future prospects of women and their families in our community, aiming to prevent the chances of problems getting worse or being repeated.

Activities

Our Services:

Lotus Domestic Abuse Recovery Programme

  • For women (born female at birth, 16+) who have experienced intimate partner violence as a woman, are now safe and ready to start their recovery journey
  • 6-weekly on-line group
  • One-to-one tailored IDVA support

Child / Adolescent to Parent Violence / Abuse Programme

  • For parents/carers with children aged 8-17 who are abusive or violent
  • 8-weekly on-line group
  • One-to-one tailored IDVA support

IDVA Service for Gender Diverse Victim-Survivors

One-to-one tailored IDVA support for transgender women and men, and non-binary people.

Lotus Blossom Peer Support Group

An online group for women who have attended our domestic abuse recovery programme, and can receive group support or train to be a peer support mentor.

Managing Money Safely in a Relationship

A three hour online session to help women protect their money in relationships and to avoid being financially abused.

Relationship Goals

A one-hour online healthy relationship session for young people aged 13-16. This session is designed to give teenagers the knowledge and skills they need to build and maintain healthy relationships.
