LSW's stated purpose: 'To employ the works of Shakespeare and other major dramatic, cinematic, musical, choreographic writers / thinkers as a TOOL towards effective INTERACTION in order to (a) CREATE new work and (b) promote CONFIDENCE through the WILL to DREAM for ALL.
LSW has worked throughout the world - largely in prisons and educational facilities - delivering Shakespeare Workouts wherein we use Shakespeare as a tool for effective interaction. We have done projects in 100 prisons in England alone.
(Should say this is a lean - but not mean - volunteer organisation and always has been. We have worked with over 9,000 prisoners and 12,000 theatrical artists over the years. The work - in very real dramatic terms - has always paid mightily. There are no paid staff.)
