Objectives

LIDN is a volunteer-driven organisation whose mission is to connect the London international development community to ideas, opportunities and each other for a strengthened, more impactful sector.

Activities

We started as a Facebook group in 2012 which has grown to over 14k members, who share news, ideas, careers, advice, events and much more. We have grown from this to:

Host regular meet-ups for LIDN members to meet people from across the sector
Run a mentorship scheme to help individuals progress their careers in development
Keep members up to date with what’s going on with a monthly newsletter
And run events in-person and online on themes such as ethics of technology, alternative career pathways, decolonising development.
