Lockleaze Community Orchard is a volunteer led project located along the Concorde Way cycle path near Constable Road in Lockleaze, Bristol. Our mission is to create a welcoming space where people can get together and enjoy nature and learn about growing healthy food.
We run work parties on the last Saturday of every month, and on Thursday evenings in the summer. At these events we provide opportunities for local people to take part activities to maintain and improve the orchard, including planting, pruning, litter picks, and harvesting. The aim of the orchard is to bring local people (and commuters who use the cycle path) together, and develop a shared community space where everyone is welcome and can participate and get involved.
