Objectives

Local Aid established in 1990 main aims are to support children and community special needs.

Based in Swansea we provide services and support for families living in the Swansea Bay area.  Most of our families are from Swansea however we do offer support to families for Neath/Port Talbot & Llanelli.

We are passionate and committed to promoting volunteering and to raise awareness of good citizenship, and to support the needs and aspirations of those most vulnerable in our communities.

Local Aid aims and objectives:

  • To raise public awareness of the needs and aspirations of young people with disabilities in the community
  • To provide specialist equipment/services not readily available through normal statutory sources.
  • To provide practical/financial assistance to families experiencing hardship.
