Objectives

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is an annual event held on the May Day Bank Holiday weekend in Llandudno Town Centre.  The committee of volunteers organises the event which attracts over 120,000 from all over the world.  In 2018 we are celebrating our 32nd year.

The event benefits the local area and brings much enjoyment to all that visit.  Local hotels and B&Bs are always full and local businesses do very well over the event.  An independent review commissioned by Conwy County Borough Council in May 2013 found that the event brings an additional economic benefit of £3.5 million to the area.

Charities attend the event to raise their profiles and raise money.  Many people volunteer at the event which is an admirable addition to their CVs.

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza has helped to establish Llandudno as a tourist destination.  We know from speaking to local hotels and B&Bs that many people return to the area after the event.  They first attend as they are passionate about the Victorian era and return once they see how beautiful the area is.

Activities

We strive to organise an event which is fun for the whole family and all that attend.  There are steam engines, a daily parade, bands, entertainers, re-enactors and rides for all ages.
